GMCS School Board voted to temporarily suspend hybrid learning at GMCS Elementary schools until 1/4/2021
Starting at 1:00 PM
UPDATE- While supplies last, GMCS will be distributing a Thanksgiving food bag on Friday, November 20th. Buses will be delivering this bag at all designated bus stops. You can also pick one up at any of our grab and go school sites.

📚 Text Book Adoption 📚
Gallup-McKinley County Schools will adopt materials and textbooks for English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD) and World Language-Spanish for grades 9-12 for school year 21-22. We would like our parents and community to provide comments and feedback on the available textbooks.

Please help us get the word out to New Mexico parents and families that a free virtual workshop to help parents work with their children in remote learning has been rescheduled for mid-November. "Reimagining Parent Engagement Leveraging Virtual Tools” will be held as follows:
• Spanish version: Nov. 12-13 from 6:30-8 p.m. both nights.
• English version: Nov. 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. and Nov. 20 from 3:30-5 p.m.
This workshop will give parents virtual tools they can use to build communities of parental support. Registration is available here-https://cnmingenuity.org/parents-as-virtual-partners/ The workshop is part of a series funded by PED and created by CNM Ingenuity, an outreach program of Central New Mexico Community College. The deadline for the 2020 U.S. census survey has been extended to Oct. 31, according to a news release from the Census Bureau.
The Census Bureau has extended the deadline to encourage tribal areas, such as American Indians and Alaska Native communities living on reservations, to participate.
